Farmer's market site plan, renderings, and catenary structure studies

This project proposes a farmer's market for the Hazelwood Green area of Pittsburgh. Utilizing a Haus-in-Haus theory, the market consists of a 30,000 square foot XL unit, housing a 3,000 square foot M unit for MEP systems, as well as being populated with many 300 square foot XS units for the stalls of the market.

The project consists of a glulam-shaped system, covered with CLT panels, and enclosed on the sides with glass curtain walls following the XL's catenary curve structure. The roofing system uses terne-coated steel over polyiso insulation and CLT panels, with LVL structural members.

Led the design of XS booth units and the facade of the XL market structure. Created construction documents intended for engineers and construction teams, and collaborated with consultants on facade, structural, and MEP systems.
